TRADITIONAL EXPLORATION.
MODERN APPROACH.
Modern Core specializes in Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) support to the exploration and junior mining sector.
We work with companies involved in early-stage mineral development and their associated partners across the value chain (including drilling companies, technical service providers, investors, local communities and others) to:
- Develop trusting and productive relationships with local communities
- Acquire the necessary permits for exploration activities
- Negotiate agreements with local Indigenous communities
- Identify ESG vision and values and annual strategic plans
- Implement materiality reviews with stakeholders
- Advise and coach senior leadership on responsible business processes and decision making
- Minimize ESG risk and proactively seek out opportunities for community partnership
- Build a strong ESG foundation for early-stage mineral development projects
- Generate value for investors and larger operating mining companies with interest in projects
Our team draws on 15+ years of corporate and field experience with junior and major mining companies. We recognize that exploration and junior mining companies have unique ESG needs compared to large operators as well as limited access to resources and finding and often no in-house sustainability expertise.
